Tea Tree – Melaleuca alternifolia – essential oil comes from, yes you guessed it, the Tea Tree! :-). It is a bushy tree with long branches and twigs, small narrow leaves,
and white cotton-puff flowers. Our Tea Tree Oil is certified organic. It comes from the evergreen leaves of the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree.

The oils is derived from the leaves and branches through steam distillation.

The principal places for production of Tea Tree are Australia, Tasmania and Kenya, however, our Tea Tree is locally grown and distilled.

The oil is colorless to pale-yellow with a strongly medicinal, slightly spicy, camphorous aroma.

Therepeutic properties: Anthelmintic (capable of expelling or destroying parasitic worms), antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, immuno-stimulant, vulnerary (useful in promoting the healing of wounds).

Popular Aromatherapy uses: Bacterial skin infection, parasitic skin infection, respiratory tract infection, sinusitis, rhinitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, wounds, ulceration, pimples, acne, abscesses, head and body lice, fungal infection, athlete’s foot, warts/verrucas, treating minor cuts, burns, dandruff, nail fungus, herpes, insect bites, vaginal yeast infections, scabies and skin fungal or bacterial infections. Some claim that it can be used to fight or soothe strep throat and urinary, bloodstream and sinus infections. Even pneumonioa – a few drops in the bath or vaporizer.

Tea Tree essential oil blends well with: Bergamot, black pepper, chamomile german, chamomile roman, elemi, eucalyptus lemon, eucalyptus radiata, fragonia, geranium, ho wood, lavandin, lavender, lavender (spike), lemon, manuka, orange (sweet), palmarosa, peppermint, ravensara, rosemary, tangerine.
