Description

This beautiful Orange (sweet) – Citrus sinensis oil is derived from the rind of the fruit borne by a tree that grows about 25 feet high with dark-green leaves, fragrant white flowers, and large, bright, round, delicious fruits. The rind can be cold-pressed or steam distilled.

This sweet orange tree originated from India, and like many others, was brought to Europe by sailors and travelers. Interestingly it also ended up in South America where Jesuit priests were growing sweet orange trees as early as 1549. Brazil has become a major supplier of sweet orange essential oil.

Our sweet orange essential oil comes from Mexico and is certified organic.

This oil contains vitamins, minerals and enzymes and is widely used in food, drinks and the confectionery industry. It is also used in perfumery.

It has a fresh, sweet, fruity, citrus aroma and the oil is slightly yellow to orange in colour. In my opinion, no home should be without Orange (sweet) – Citrus sinensis. It’s a must have. You will be surprised at how you feel if you use it in a diffuser. Kids love it too.

I love using sweet orange in my diffuser in the house when it’s really hot! It is so cooling and refreshing.
