NOTE: We work with natural raw material. We do not work with lab created fragrances. You are welcome to try them but we don’t provide them or use them. Natural is an ambiguous term. Even essential oils can be regarded as unnatural because they are “processed” in some way, albeit distillation. We hope to inspire using natural raw material, or at least as close as possible to natural (Ecocert and COSMOS approved ingredients) as we can get to reach the desired result. In OPTION 3 we reveal myths and hope to eliminate misleading information where necessary.

Lab-created fragrance oils can contain some of the same constituents as essential oils, but they are typically synthetic or blended from natural and synthetic components. While essential oils are derived directly from plants, fragrance oils (including lab-created ones) are formulated in a lab to replicate specific scents, often for more consistent or cost-effective results.

In some cases, lab-created fragrance oils may include chemical compounds that are also naturally found in essential oils, but they may not be exact replicas of the essential oils themselves. Some fragrance oils use synthetic chemicals to mimic certain notes of essential oils without using the plant-derived components. This distinction makes fragrance oils less natural compared to essential oils, which are purely derived from plant material.

So, while lab-created fragrance oils may contain some of the same constituents as essential oils, they are typically designed with a different purpose in mind and may involve synthetic ingredients.
