Our Cinnamon Bark – C. zeylanicum is from Madagascar. Madagascar is one of the few countries where Cinnamon grows abundantly. Harvesting is done after the rainy season when the bark is moist and rich in essential oil. The inner bark is used for the spice. Cinnamon can be toxic but the Cinnamon grown in Madagascar contains very little of the slightly toxic substance, Coumarin, and is mostly beneficial when used as a health supplement.
Cinnamon Bark – C. zeylanicum from Madagascar has a warm, sweet, spicy aroma and is often used in deserts, liqueurs and cosmetics. It is sometimes referred to as ‘Gourmet Cinnamon‘. Blending it with citrus oils can give an invigorating uplifting experience.

control blood sugar levels which can be beneficial to and help prevent diabetes. It is one of the most popularly studied medicinal plants against diabetes.
In a meta-analysis of 10 well-designed clinical trials evaluated in 543 patients undergoing cinnamon supplementation, a significant decrease in fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels, and an increase in HDL cholesterol levels was reported.
It has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, is an anti-oxidant and may prevent damage to the liver. It has also been found to be effective against Alzheimers.
