LILA WEAVER BOHEMIA is founded and curated by Jai Teg Kaur, a devoted spiritual seeker initiated as a Saint-Warrior in the revered city of Sri Anandpur Sahib, the city of spiritual bliss, in Punjab, India. Following a rare and authentic spiritual path, Jaiteg personally sources handmade garments from the remote regions of Northern India and Nepal. Her journey takes her deep into the Himalayas, where she collaborates directly with skilled artisans – the craftsmen and craftswomen who delicately hand-stitch and embroider exquisite woolen pashminas, many originating from the famous Kashmiri tradition of the Kani Shawl. By bypassing middlemen and working directly with village artisans, Jaiteg ensures that each piece is both ethically sourced and truly one-of-a-kind. Most of these items are acquired during her sacred pilgrimages, some of which involve long journeys on foot to remote Buddhist monasteries, nestled among the mountain peaks of the Kathmandu Valley.
The Sherpa people live high up in the mountains of Nepal, “because it is closer to heaven,” craft intricate, exceptional items in their peaceful, loving communities. From woodcarving, metal craft, pottery, thangka painting, and weaving to paper making, these creations reflect the centuries-old traditions passed down through generations, embodying the soul of Nepali culture and craftsmanship.
Jaiteg’s passion lies in discovering and supporting small, independent artisans – from single-shop owners to sidewalk creators she meets during her pilgrimages. Her discerning eye for quality and authenticity ensures that each piece reflects a personal connection to the craftsperson behind it.

This Summer 2024, we will be bringing a fresh collection, featuring Indian silk dresses, kimonos, pants, and tops, alongside sought-after Amritsari cotton scarves and lightweight summer pashminas. These garments, inspired by the sacred city of Amritsar, where the Golden Temple stands adorned with over 570kg of gold, embody the very essence of luxurious craftsmanship.
