To simplify the blending of oils apply the following essential oil synergies guide:
TOP NOTES | Fresh, light, evaporate fast Eg. basil, eucalyptus, lemon. |
MIDDLE NOTES | Heart of the fragrance, scent emerges gradulally eg. geranium, lavender, marjoram |
BASE NOTES | Rich, heavy scent. Is a fixative (binding oils together so that they stay together) eg. jasmine, myrrh, patchouli. |
Always try to include one of each type to make your symphony gel. Have a look at our Aromatherapy Essential Oil Chart to find oils that suit your requirements.
REMEMBER: Your olfactory sense might differ with these findings, so experiment, make notes and blend your essential oil synergies to taste.
