Solution 110 drops calendula to 2 tsp carrier oil
Solution 230 drops tagetas to 2 tsp oil
Simple Homemade CalendulaPut as many marigold flower heads into a dark glass jar (dark green bottles are great); “fill the jar with almond oil or safflower oil; leave in the sun for 48 hours then strain everything through a sieve – pressing and squashing the flower heads against the sieve to ensure you get all the oils out”; when done, sieve the oil through a coffee filter bag; now add new marigold heads to the strained oils in the jar and repeat the “procedure” – I do it three times, but many believe it should be done at least seven times
Cooking OilsIn passing, make the most of herbal oils this way; use extra virgin olive oil as your carrier, instead: suitable herbs are garlic, parsley, thyme and rosemary; for these digestible oils, put them in dark green bottles in a cool dry place; the sun can make them rancid rather quickly; add a drop or two of rosemary to lengthen their shelf life; always ensure you keep them for only a month before using them; if a little older, use them on your dog pellets – dogs love them – plus minus a teaspon a day
External use onlyTo apply to dogs wounds and sore bones, use comfrey leaves and ivy leaves in the same way; just remember to add a little wheatgerm to give it a longer shelf life
That’s enough of the herbs since this is an aromatherapy book 🙂

See Teens: I have been trying everyone’s remedies on ten teens and the remedies given in the chapter were personal findings after experimenting with the recommendations given; what I did find was those that took the point of a knife of Epsom salts baths seemed to clear up faster than those that did not; Also: The “chocolate” munchers broke out more often than the others; pastries also seemed to be taboo; the salad and fruit eaters definitely came out tops.

Memory
SniffersThe magic, 10 drops basil, 10 grapefruit, 10 lavender, 5 rosemary; add the carrier oil only to the mix you intent putting near your nose – add 10 ml carrier oil; if you intent keeping it longer than a month, add a little rosemary in your blend; remember rosemary is rather strong and can overpower the aroma, so go easy.
Memory – Improvingbasil, black pepper, cardamom, ginger, lavender, hyssop, marjoram, peppermint, rosemary
Room sprayEqual parts basil, ginger, black pepper, cardamom; in 1 to 2 tsp vodka; leave for 2 days; add boiled water; allow to stand for 3 to 4 days before using
Room spray 2100 ml spray bottle, mix 2 to 5 ml of bergamot and/or neroli with 10ml vodka, allow to stand 2 days, then fill bottle with boiled water; patience: leaving to stand in a cool, dry, dark place 2 days minimum allows the oils to impart their aromas to the alcohol; you can save oils this way
InhalantIf you don’t have a diffuser (or burner) use an old glass pot and slowly bring to boil; turn heat down and keep simmering; take the pot off the stove and walk around the house with it; use any of the oils mentioned above.
It will be great if you can invest in a diffuser. The benefits of using a diffuser are worth it.
